MOQC’s Patient and Caregiver Council (POQC) aims to give voice to the patients and their caregivers as it relates to improving cancer care across the state.
POQC has made a concerted effort to expand this year, and to date we have made great strides. During 2022, we have added 11 new members, expanding POQC to a total of 19 active members. Using demographic information collected by POQC’s Recruitment Workgroup, efforts are being made to reach out to additional patient and caregiver populations to capture voices currently not represented.
Our hope is that each and every one of you will choose to partner with us as we look for new members. Please consider talking to all of your patients and caregivers about the work POQC does, but with a special focus on those whose voices we have designated in our flyer as not being optimally represented. We want to hear from them – the good, the bad, and the ugly of their treatment journeys. This will help us shape the recommendations of great treatment for all future patients.
