Description

The purpose of the MiGHT project is to improve the quality and frequency of the family history taken by oncology providers in order to increase the uptake of appropriate genetic counseling and germline testing in their patients. Currently, only about one third of oncology patients across the state of Michigan have a complete family history documented in their chart.

The ultimate goal is to improve outcomes for patients with cancer and their families across the state of Michigan.

The cost to patients for genetic testing is often $250 or less.
