Angela Green, BS, ODS-Certified
Angie Green has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Saginaw Valley State University and became a certified Oncology Data Specialist (ODS-C) in 2012. She has worked in oncology for over 20 years and has experience working in a surgical oncology office, in oncology research, and most recently as a certified tumor registrar with Michigan Medicine.
Angie joined MOQC because of a shared passion for making a positive impact in oncology care. She strongly believes in MOQC’s core values, the collaborative efforts being done to enhance patient care, and the quality improvement initiatives that will benefit oncology patients in their cancer journey, while also supporting caregivers and providers.
Angie enjoys spending quality time with family, attending sporting events, the outdoors, boating, traveling, baking, and knitting.
Kayla Harding, BSW
Kayla (pronouns: she/her) recently graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Social Work and is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work from University of Michigan. She will be focusing her studies on the policy and political social work sphere. She has worked extensively with individuals experiencing substance use disorder at Home of New Vision and Dawn Farm. Through her time with these organizations, she has worked as a peer recovery coach and detox counselor assisting others in their recovery journeys.
Kayla has also spent previous internship experiences working with Michigan Department of Health and Human Services on their Opioid Policy and Planning team devising plans for the recent opioid settlement funding. She most recently worked with the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office on the Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion and Deflection (LEADD) program in which individuals with frequent police interaction based on mental health, substance use, and chronic poverty are diverted to social and community-based programs.
Kayla chose to intern with MOQC to dip her toes into the healthcare side of social work. She is passionate about health equity and feels that MOQC’s values and beliefs attest to their enthusiasm for the quality of care that healthcare professionals provide for every patient and caregiver.
Hana Kisswani, BSW
Hana (pronouns: she/her) is a Master of Social Work (MSW) student at the University of Michigan, with a strong foundation in legislative research and social welfare. She earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Seton Hall University, where she developed a deep understanding of healthcare, criminal justice, and education policies during her internship at the 38th Legislative District of New Jersey. Hana also gained hands-on experience in mental health and social welfare assessments, as well as group session facilitation, through her work at Newark Community Solutions, an alternative-to-incarceration program.
Passionate about improving the quality of care for vulnerable populations, Hana is ecstatic to work with the Michigan Oncology Quality Consortium (MOQC), where she hopes to contribute meaningfully to healthcare improvement. In addition to her role at MOQC, she works as a medical assistant for ER Radiology at Michigan Medicine. Although new to the healthcare field, Hana is eager to make a positive impact on both patient care and caregiver services.
