Young Onset Breast Cancer Survivor Study

Comfort Cuisine

Dear Colleagues,

We are recruiting participants for our study, YO MI-CARES, which stands for “The Young-Onset Michigan Cancer and Research on the Environment Study” (HUM00220902). YO MI-CARES was started because there is a need to better understand the risk of breast cancer among young women. We also aim to better understand survivorship among women with breast cancer to improve their quality of life and well-being.

We are recruiting women who are aged 18-49, living in Michigan and were diagnosed with breast cancer in the past 12 months. Participating in YO MI-CARES is completely remote and includes a series of questionnaires. We will also collect information from patients’ medical records related to their cancer diagnosis, therapies, and health. Participants will receive $10 for completing the initial questionnaire.

This study is being conducted in collaboration with the Michigan Oncology Quality Consortium (MOQC). We kindly request your assistance in referring your breast cancer patients to participate in this study. You are welcome to send the study flyer (link here) to your patients or refer them to our study website.

For additional information, please visit https://yomi-cares.sph.umich.edu/
or email us at yomi-cares@umich.edu.

Together we can conquer breast cancer through research and education.

Sincerely,

The YO MI-CARES research team
