What’s Your Why?

Each one of us was drawn to the field of medicine for our own reason. Remembering why we do the work we do can help us focus on what is meaningful. It can help us recenter our efforts toward what recharges us.

Ashley Bowen, MOQC Project Manager:

My why for being part of MOQC is rooted in my commitment to enhancing patient- and family-centered care through quality work. Drawing from my experience in clinical nutrition and healthcare leadership, I am passionate about working with interprofessional healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction. At MOQC, I am inspired by the collective dedication to the core values of compassion, collaboration, trust, integrity, and growth mindset, and I am motivated by the opportunity to lead and contribute to initiatives that make a meaningful difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families.

Kleo Kolizeras, MOQC Clinical Data Abstractor:

I have dedicated myself to helping make and keep things right for the best interest of our Michigan patients and caregivers. They and their experiences are what drive me, and their stories inspire me to want to do better and to help our practices provide the best care for all oncology patients across the state. MOQC has given me the space to grow tremendously in the areas of compassion and collaboration, and it is a home where team members listen to one another. I am comforted knowing I can be heard. I am honored to contribute to a respectful work environment that promotes fairness in health care, with a commitment to identifying and addressing gaps in access and outcomes.
